Scholarships for Watervliet High School Seniors Only
More information and scholarship applications are available in the guidance office. All applications must be submitted to Mrs. Tyler by April 11, 2025.
The Brenda Cerny Memorial Scholarship is available to any college bound Watervliet High School student who has shown an interest in a career in any health field, is a good citizen and scholar, and displays economic need. The scholarship could be awarded to any deserving student if there are no applicants interested in the health field.
The Eugene Bednarowski Memorial Scholarship is available to any student who has a 3.0 or higher GPA and a minimum of two years of varsity competition in track or cross country, with one of those years of competition being the senior year.
The Ken Bannen Scholarship is available to any current senior with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. The scholarship committee requires a list of accomplishments, awards, and volunteer/work experience, along with a letter describing why you should be chosen to receive the award.
The LADD Scholarship is awarded to any college bound senior student with a GPA of 2.75 or higher.
The Mason Mizwicki Memorial Scholarship is available to any high school senior who writes an essay on what their senior year has meant to them.
The Powers Performing Arts Scholarship is available to any student who intends to complete four years of study in the area of performing arts, including: speech, interpretive reading, acting, technical theatre, instrumental music, vocal music, creative writing, journalism, or dance. The student must have at least a 2.0 GPA.
The Rob Delany Memorial Scholarship is available to any student who has completed four years of math during high school and intends to continue to study math or a related field in college.
The Trent McKinney Memorial Scholarship is available to any college bound senior wrestler who has demonstrated good citizenship, outstanding work ethic, and scholarship.
The Watervliet Fire Fighters Association Scholarship is available to any current senior with a GPA of 2.5 or higher who plans to attend college or technical school.
The Watervliet Lions Club offers the Walt Wendzel Memorial Scholarship to any senior with a GPA of 2.0 or higher who plans to attend college or technical school next year.
The WEA Faculty Memorial Scholarship is available to any senior with at least a 2.75 GPA who plans to study education.
Local, State, and National Scholarships
Honor Credit Union offers the Community Commitment Scholarship to any senior who is a member of Honor Credit Union. More information and the application can be found here. Applications are due March 14, 2025.
Midwest Energy & Communiations offers a scholarship to any student who lives in a household that receives monthly service from Midwest Energy & Communications. More information and applications are available here and are due March 17, 2025.
Corewell Health offers a scholarship to a senior graduating from Watervliet, Coloma, or Hartford who will enter the medical field. Applications are available in the guidance office and are due by March 22, 2025.
The Better Business Bureau offers the BBB Trust Scholarship. Applications and more information can be found here. Applications must be submitted by March 28, 2025.
The Michiana Two-Cylinder Club offers a scholarship to anyone entering an agriculture related field. Applications are available in the guidance office and must be postmarked by March 31, 2025.
The Michigan Retailers Association (MRA) offers scholarships to high school seniors who are dependent children of owners and full time employees of MRA member businesses. Applications must be submitted by April 1, 2025 are available here.
The Society of Women Engineers offers the Christine Strain Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is available for students who plan to be enrolled in an engineering, computer science, or technology program after graduation. Applications are available in the guidance office and must be submitted by April 1, 2025.
The Tiscornia Foundation offers a scholarship to Berrien County students who show outstanding community service, extra curricular school activities, and academic achievement along with financial need. Applications are available in the guidance office and are due April 14, 2025.
Harrington Orthodontics offers a scholarship to current or former patients. Directions for applying are in the guidance office and applications must be postmarked by April 14, 2025.
The SET SEG Foundation offers the SET SEG Skilled Trades Scholarship to any Michigan high school senior that was enrolled in a CTE program and plans to enroll in more formal training after graduation. Applications are available here and are due April 14, 2025.
Student View offers a randomized drawing for scholarships for any student that completes a short survey about local scholarships. Information is available here and must be submitted by April 23, 2025.
The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority offers multiple scholarships to you women in the Benton Harbor/St. Joseph area. Scholarship descriptions, requirements, and applications are available in the guidance office and are due April 25, 2025.
The American Legion Auxiliary in South Haven has established a scholarship for students related to a veteran or American Legion Auxiliary Unit 49 member. Applications are available in the guidance office and are due May 1, 2025.
The North Berrien Senior Center offers a scholarship to any student in the top 50% of their graduating class. Scholarship applications are available in the guidance office and are due May 2, 2025.
The Cass County Conservation Club offers two scholarships to students who plan to study conservation or agriculture related fields at college. More information is available in the guidance office and applications are due May 31, 2025.
