Today the WMS Honor Club students traveled to Kalamazoo Valley Community College. They took a tour of the campus, played KVCC Jeopardy, made flipgrids, and visited the KVCC bookstore. They celebrated their learning in the afternoon with a trip to Revel and Roll West where they participated in bowling, laser tag, and they played in the arcade.
YOUR WMS Interact Club is in the final three days for donations for the Meals on Wheels December Service Project. Please consider donating any of the items below. They can be brought to Mrs. Sargeant at the middle school anytime. The club will be assembling the goody bags and delivering them before winter break. We appreciate your consideration.
WPS Parents and Students:
The forecast for tomorrow morning is for gusting winds and frosty wind chills. We will close schools if wind chills are sustained at -20 degrees or worse. Currently, the National Weather Service forecast is calling for wind chills near or just below 0 degrees.
The weather will be cold!! Please make sure students are properly bundled up for the weather, especially those who wait at bus stops for transportation.
At this time, the forecast indicates that we will attend school tomorrow. Please be on the lookout for information about school closures should conditions worsen overnight and forecasts change.
The WMS Interact Club needs your help with their December service project. Please check out the flyer below! Interact members decorate and stuff all bags and include a holiday card for each recipient.

NOVEMBER 2024 INTERACT SERVICE PROJECT !
Your WMS Interact Club worked with advisories during the past week to collect unused and left over Halloween candy. Today, bags of candy were delivered to the Great Lakes Dental Office in Muskegon, Michigan, which is the closest drop off site for the Treat for Troops program, which sends this candy as a reminder of home to our deployed service men and women. Pictured below are club officers delivering the collected candy. (Alex Zuniga, Caroline Weber, Josh Koch, and Jolie Bertuca)
The winning advisory for donating the most candy for this service project is Mrs. Zuniga's advisory. They will snack on doughnuts and cider next week as a reward.

Aspen Flemming with her Artist of the Week plaque and $50 gift card to Blick Art Materials!
The MS Interact Club is collecting leftover and newly purchased candy (Halloween Candy) for the Treats for Troops program which sends the candy to our troops over seas to remind them a little of home. The advisory class that collects the most by the end of the advisory on Thursday of next week will win cider and doughnuts. The officers of the club will come around regularly to collect and weigh what you have each day next week and today. On Friday of next week, they will be taking the donated candy to a collecting site for donation. Anything that you can do to donate and collect leftover Halloween candy for this cause would be appreciated. Please send in with your child to their advisory next week! THANK YOU !
