Watervliet's own Samantha Dietz is among those elite players who have been named to the 2022 Associated Press Division 3 All-State Basketball First Team. Sam averaged 17.2 points and 13 rebounds per game this season, leading the team in both categories. Her performance throughout the season helped the Panthers to secure the SAC Lakeshore Division title.
Over the course of Sam's three seasons on the WHS Varsity basketball team, she has had 51 double-doubles. She has 1045 career points and 865 rebounds so far. In the classroom, Sam carries an unweighted GPA of 3.94.
Sam is not finished yet; she has still has one more season to play for the Panthers before she will graduate in 2023. Congratulations, Sam!
